Morning walk ends in gunshot wound

A man suffered a gunshot to the leg after being chased through several yards in the Refugee Road area, according to a release from Columbus Division of Police.

Tyrin Polk was out walking just before noon on September 30, when a tan Dodge Journey pulled up. A man with a handgun got out of the passenger side, chased him, and fired a single shot which struck Polk’s leg.

Polk made it to the hospital where he was interviewed by police.
