COLUMBUS (WCMH)– People flying from Columbus to places to Chicago are seeing delays and cancellations Sunday due to weather and Bonnie Mcquiniff is one of them.

“It’s like oh crap I really wanted to go home,” said Mcquiniff.

She was just moments away from heading home to Chicago.

“It looked fine on the radar up until we were ready to board at 5:15.”

She came to Ohio to spend the holidays with family and everything appeared to be going as planned.

“We started boarding like group one and then they said no we have to get you off the plane,” said Mcquiniff. “Then they said we can maybe board at 7:30, and then it was 8:30, and then it was 6am tomorrow, maybe.”

So until then, she will sit here with her water bottle and her bag for the night, making the best of a bad situation.

“The bright side is absolutely nothing.”

Mcquiniff said she has to work Monday morning at 9. So she continues to check to see if someone can work for her because she said there is no way she’ll be able to make it because of her flight being delayed.
