GROVE CITY, OH (WCMH) — People made their way through the rain to attend a public memorial service for the three Survival Flight crew members killed in last week’s crash.

The memorial service began at 11am at Grove City Church of the Nazarene. Out of respect for the family, friends and colleagues of those killed, NBC4 was told not to record video or take photos inside during the service but was allowed inside earlier in the morning to see the setup in the sanctuary.

Photos of pilot Jennifer Topper, flight paramedic Bradley Haynes and flight nurse Rachel Cunningham sat on the stage, along with their helmets, uniforms and boots. Flowers and wreaths were also placed on the stage in memory of the three crew members who died in last week’s crash in Vinton County.

In addition to eulogies for each of the crew members, a program for the memorial service noted there would be a video of memories and a special presentation from the Ohio Fire Chiefs Association and Survival Flight crew members.
