GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WCMH) — Meijer has announced it will now be delivering alcohol to residents in Ohio.

According to a release, starting Thursday, Meijer customers can now have beer and wine delivered from their local store right to their door. 

“We’ve received an incredible amount of feedback from customers wanting to take advantage of our large selection of craft beers and wine,” said Keith Rothstein, Group Vice President of Merchandise Services for Meijer. “We think this enhances the level of convenience our home delivery customers in Ohio can enjoy and allows them to take more advantage of what our stores have to offer.” 

Meijer customers must order the alcohol through Meijer’s membership-based delivery service, and provide a valid identification to place and received orders. Delivery orders are fulfilled and delivered by Shipt.

Meijer says the person shoppers who fulfill the orders are also at least 21 years old and certified to deliver alcohol.

Memberships are $99 a year or $14 a month.
