COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Meet Max: He is a Brittany Spaniel-Beagle mix on a mission to find rescue dogs like himself a loving forever home.
NBC4 Today Weekend Anchor Hattie Hawks and her husband adopted Max from a small central Ohio rescue called Pets Without Parents. Every week, Max and Hattie introduce viewers to other rescue dogs in search of forever homes.
This week, Hattie and Max met Evie, a young Shepherd mix who is staying with a RESCUEDOhio foster home. The 10-month-old pup came to RESCUEDOhio from a shelter in southeast Ohio. Her foster family thinks she lived a life outside before coming to RESCUEDOhio, but that doesn’t stop Evie from loving people and animals.
“She is really gentle,” Evie’s foster mother said. “I think her personality shines when she is with other dogs. She loves to play.”
Evie is also great with her foster family’s 4-year-old and 7-year-old children.
“She is just so easy,” Evie’s foster mother said. “In rescue, we get a lot of dogs that require a lot of work, that have a lot of behavioral concerns and need a lot of training. She came in just as sweet as could be.”
Evie would do best in a home with a fenced yard so she can run around. She is also crate trained and house trained at this point.
