Max’s Mission: Pekinese dogs Pinball and Statler are looking for their forever homes

Local News

CENTRAL OHIO (WCMH) – Meet Max: He is a Brittany Spaniel-Beagle mix on a mission to find rescue dogs, like himself, a loving forever home.

NBC4 Today Weekend Anchor Hattie Hawks and her husband adopted Max from a small Central Ohio rescue called Pets Without Parents. Every week, Max and Hattie introduce viewers to other rescue dogs in search of forever homes.

This week, Hattie and Max stopped by Hospets to meet two very special dogs: Pinball and Statler.

Pinball is an 8-month-old Pekinese with special needs. He is mostly blind and has a neurological disorder. When he moves, he spins in circles to get where he is going, but he does have short times of walking straight.

Pinball would do best in a family that already has a dog because he cannot sleep without another dog around. He also loves kids and cats.

Next up is Statler, an 8-year-old Pekinese who was rescued from a hoarding situation. He likes other dogs and cats, and once he gets to know you, he will love laying on your lap. His foster family says that he is a goofball and will keep you laughing.

Statler would do best in a home with older kids.
