Max’s Mission: Lab mix Coco ready for adoption

Local News

Meet Max: He is a Brittany Spaniel-Beagle mix on a mission to find rescue dogs, like himself, a loving forever home.

NBC4 Today Weekend Anchor Hattie Hawks and her husband adopted Max from a small Central Ohio rescue called Pets Without Parents. Every week, Max and Hattie introduce viewers to other rescue dogs in search of forever homes.

This week, Max and Hattie stopped by a Stop the Suffering foster home to meet Coco, a 3-year-old Labrador Retriever mix looking for his perfect family.

Coco is full of energy and is always ready to play.

“He loves people, loves to play fetch, and he listens to commands really well,” said Megan Roscheck with Stop the Suffering.

Coco would do best with an active family, and if you work full-time, that’s fine with him. He’s an easy-going boy.

“He’s potty trained, he is fixed,” Roscheck said. “He will wait at the door for you to let him out. He will go right into his crate.”

If you have other dogs in your home, Coco is quick to fit in, but he would also do well as an only dog.

“He loves dogs, cats, and pretty much every other animal we found but chickens,” Roscheck said.

Right now, Coco is working on leash training and is doing very well.
