MADISON CO., OH (WCMH) –Three days after NBC4 aired Sealy’s story in a Max’s Mission segment, the Humane Society of Madison county has received enough donations to have her surgery.

When they reached out to our Hattie Hawks, they had $3,000 of their $6,000 goal.

After the story aired and was shared on social media, the humane society now has more than $10,000 to cover Sealy’s surgery costs and future medical costs.

Meg Werner with the Humane Society of Madison County said they have had to do many surgeries for dogs in the past but none as extensive as Sealy.

“It was so much harder because the cost was so much more expensive.  And she is growing and it is time for her surgery.”

A member of her staff reached out to NBC4’s Hattie Hawks last week to see if she and Max could help. “We were all beginning to worry about how we were going to raise the rest of the money. I can’t tell you how much we all appreciate you!  Words just cannot express.”
