Max’s Mission: Harley the lab/boxer mix needs a home

Local News

COLUMBUS, OH (WCMH) – Meet Max: He is a Brittany Spaniel-Beagle mix on a mission to find rescue dogs, like himself, a loving forever home.

NBC4 Today Weekend Anchor Hattie Hawks and her husband adopted Max from a small Central Ohio rescue called Pets Without Parents. Every week, Max and Hattie introduce viewers to other rescue dogs in search of forever homes.

This week they visited with RESCUEDOhio to meet Harley. She’s a really sweet puppy. “She is super duper cuddly but she loves to play she will do best in a house that will play with her,” said her foster Andie Brown Friskey. This 14-week-old lab/boxer mix was brought to a rural shelter and then taken in by RESCUEDOhio and she’s already come a long way. “She didn’t even give a kiss for two or three days but now she is full of them.”

Harley loves bouncing around the yard, play fetch and of course, the occasional bark from a tree.

She’s a great family dog and would be good for anyone. “She makes me laugh because she is goofy. I love her confidence too she is really great with other people and comes right up and says hello. She’s learning sit and she is doing really really well with potty training.”

Both Harley and her sister Lexy are available for adoption. For more information or to apply for adoption, check out
