Meet Max: He is a Brittany Spaniel-Beagle mix on a mission to find rescue dogs, like himself, a loving forever home.

NBC4 Today Weekend Anchor Hattie Hawks and her husband adopted Max from a small Central Ohio rescue called Pets Without Parents. Every week, Max and Hattie introduce viewers to other rescue dogs in search of forever homes.

This week, Max and Hattie stopped by a RESCUEDohio foster home to meet Prince, a super friendly dog in search of his forever home.

“He is a really pretty easy boy,” said Melissa Liljefelt. “He loves kids, he loves dogs. We haven’t cat tested him yet, but he is just a super friendly, easy-going guy around the house. He loves his people, loves to sit on his couch and cuddle with us at the end of the day.”

Prince would do best with a family who has someone home most of the day, because he really just wants to be with his humans.

“He does a great job keeping himself out of trouble when people are there, but he has some moderate separation anxiety,” Liljefelt said. “We’re working with him on how to stay in a crate and that it is okay.”

Prince is housebroken, loves to bask in the sun, and is a pretty easy-going dog.
