COLUMBUS (WCMH) — This week Max met Baxter from Peace For Paws.
He’s a 1-year-old lab mix brought to Columbus from a shelter in Jackson County in 2017. He lived with a family for less than a year and came back to Peace For Paws in September of 2018.
“He loves his people. He loves to be with his people and play with his people. He is a great family dog,” said Peace For Paws Volunteer, Kirsten Kiefer.
Baxter lives to please.
He’s the kind of dog that will be able to fill a void for someone who needs a companion.
“He would love to be an activity partner. He’s very athletic and loves to be outside and play catch and fetch,” she said.
Baxter would do best with an active family who has a regular schedule. Potential adopters get extra points if someone in the family stays home or if the family has another dog.
We have to ask — what is better than a home ready dog? (Nothing?!) Baxter comes with professional training! “He knows all of his commands. Sit, stay, he is crate trained so he is good about all of that.”
