Max's Mission: meet Domino, a shy four year old Pomerian/Eskimo mix

Columbus, OH(WCMH) - Meet Max: He is a Brittany Spaniel-Beagle mix on a mission to find rescue dogs, like himself, a loving forever home.

NBC4 Today Weekend Anchor Hattie Hawks and her husband adopted Max from a small Central Ohio rescue called Pets Without Parents. Every week, Max and Hattie introduce viewers to other rescue dogs in search of forever homes.

This week, Hattie and Max stopped by a Pawsavers foster home to meet Domino, a four year old puppy mill survivor who is ready for his forever family.

According to Allison Hollaway with Pawsavers, it hasn't been easy for sweet Domino. After a life of neglect spent in a cage, she only has a few teeth. She is learning how to trust people.

"She loves her foster mom and she is making a lot of progress but she is really looking for a home of her own so she can really settle in, enjoy life, and learn to be a dog." says Hollaway.

Domino needs a home with another dog and would do best with either a small dog or a calm one. She's house broken and crate trained and also knows some basic commands.

"She's just a really really great girl. Shes young she has a really full life ahead of her and she needs someone who is going to realize that and want to bring her into their life." says Hollaway.
