Marion Police investigate gas station robbery

Police in Marion are investigating a robbery that happened at a gas station Wednesday morning.

It happened at the Certified Oil on East Center Street in Marion.

According to police, the suspect was armed with a large knife and was last seen running from the store. A perimeter was established around the store, but he was not found.

Police described the suspect as a white male in his late teens or early twenties. He stood between 5’8” and 5’10” and had a slender build. He was wearing a green mask or scarf around his face. He was wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt, black and white tennis shoes, and white or light colored gloves.

Police say the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.
