COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A Columbus man has been indicted for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend to death in a Parsons Avenue apartment.

The Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office announced Thursday that 27-year-old Christopher William Edward Martin has been indicted for two counts of aggravated murder, two counts of murder, and one count of kidnapping.

Martin is accused of killing his girlfriend, 30-year-old Erika Denise Daniels, at his apartment May 9. Prosecutor Ron O’Brien said Daniels suffered more than two dozen stab wounds. He said witnesses report they saw Daniels trying to escape through an upstairs window, but saw Martin pull her back inside.

Martin will be arraigned May 21.
