Man given $1 million bond in connection to death of Bobbie Renee Simpson case

UPPER ARLINGTON (WCMH)– A man charged in connection to a burned body found in Upper Arlington has been arraigned on his charges. 

Mohammed Abdullahi faces abuse of corpse, arson and OVI in connection to the killing and burning of Bobbie Renee Simpson. 

On Oct. 14 a couple walking their dog in Burbank Park when they saw a burning body.

“Oh my God! It looks like there’s like a mannequin, that’s not a…It looks…I don’t know sir,” the woman told a 911 dispatcher. 

On Oct. 15, fingerprints from the body identify her as 23-year-old Bobbi Simpson. DNA collected also ID 27-year-old Abdullahi. 

 A judge gave Abdullahi a $1,000,000 bond for abuse of corpse and arson, and a $100,000 bond for OVI.
