Man, girl killed in southeast Columbus shooting, suspect arrested

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A 31-year-old man and a teenage girl were killed in a triple shooting in southeast Columbus.

It happened just before 2:30pm, Tuesday, in an apartment at 4026 Alwood Lane.

JoJo Holloway, 17, was found dead in the apartment. Two other people were rushed to the hospital in critical condition. One of them, Brent Black, later died at the hospital.

Another victim, Melisa Mora, is still recovering after being shot in the arm. She is expected to recover.

Police found Jordan Marquant Aekins hiding in a marsh near the apartment complex, according to Columbus police. He was arrested by police officers and is expected to be charged with murder.

A motive in the shooting is unknown as police continue to investigate.
