Man and woman caught on video illegally dumping in wildlife preserve now facing charges

HOCKING COUNTY, OH (WCMH) — A couple seen on video dumping trash at a wildlife preserve in Hocking County has been identified. 

According to the Hocking County Sheriff’s Office, deputies began receiving tips after a video posted on its Facebook page showing a man and a woman dumping televisions, tires and other items at a wildlife preserve on Sand Run Road went viral.

Soon after receiving the tips, deputies made contact with Corey Webb and Amanda Pyke, both of Perry County, and charged them both with Littering on State Property and Operating a Vehicle in a Non-Designated Area. Both charges are misdemeanors. 

The Hocking County Sheriff’s Office thanked everyone for the tips on its Facebook page after the video was shared more than 11,000 times.
