Lockdown lifted at Columbus Alternative High School after SWAT situation in nearby neighborhood

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — The lockdown at Columbus Alternative High School has been lifted. 

According to Columbus City Schools’ Twitter page, CAHS was placed on lockdown due to a police emergency in a nearby neighborhood.  

Buses and arriving students were being redirected to Linden-McKinley, but the lockdown has since been lifted. 

The Columbus Division of Police says there the SWAT situation is at Minnesota Avenue and Ontario Street.  

No other information was released.
