COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A juvenile girl has been struck by a vehicle near a school in west Columbus.
At about 6:39am, Friday, emergency crews were called to the area of Starling Middle School at S. Central Avenue and W. State Street on the report of a pedestrian struck.
According to Columbus police, the girl was struck by a vehicle while in a crosswalk and suffered injuries.
Police say the driver of the vehicle was issued a citation for failing to yield.
The girl was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in stable condition and is expected to be OK.
