COLUMBUS (WCMH) — A 16-year-old boy is hospitalized Wednesday following a shooting in South Linden.
According to Columbus Police, officers responded to the area of Isabel Avenue and Gerald Avenue on a call of a shooting at approximately 4:23 p.m.
Police located the juvenile, who has been shot in his torso.
According to Columbus Fire Chief Steve Martin, the victim was taken to Grant Medical Center in critical condition. Police said the victim has since been upgraded to stable condition.
Police said the victim was walking in the area when he was approached by someone wearing a mask. The suspect fired a single shot, hitting the victim.
