MARION (WCMH)– Jasper, the service dog who went missing Nov. 30 has been found.

According to his owners, he was found Thursday night, Dec. 20.

His owner said he lost around 4 pounds but he is home for Christmas.

Jasper, an Australian Shepherd, ran away from home along with his owner’s Keith and Kathy Ireys’ other dog, on Nov. 30. While the other dog was found, they couldn’t find Jasper.

The Marion community rallied around Jasper’s owners to help find him. In the time since Jasper was missing, his photo was shared thousands of times online. Additionally, the Ireys received hundreds of phone calls reporting possible sightings.

Jasper is training to become a diabetic alert dog for Keith.
