GROVE CITY, OH (WCMH) — A Grove City woman faces a 22-count indictment for her alleged role in the ongoing sexual abuse and neglect of several children entrusted to her care.

Kimberly Hignite, 51, was operating an unlicensed home day care out of her White Road home, according to Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien.

The indictment alleges that between February 3, 2011 and May 23, 2018, several children were sexually abused by her.

Hignite is charged with five counts of Gross Sexual Imposition and 17 counts of Endangering Children.

A search warrant was executed at her home, however she was not located there.

O’Brien said Hignite’s mother was the only adult present, with 23 children between the ages of 7 months and 5-years-old.

Jail records indicate Hignite turned herself in on Thursday.

She is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.
