A shooting at Gotham, a bar in downtown Marion, has resulted in the arrest of a man that police have been trying to catch, according to Marion City Police.
Police say they arrested Lloyd Hinton, 25, in the early hours of this morning, August 18, following an outstanding warrant for felonious assault.
On July 29, JaShawn Ray, 24, had been shot multiple times at Gotham, and went to Marion General Hospital before being life-flighted to Columbus.
Officers responded to a tip-off that Hinton was at a home on Pennsylvania Avenue. When the people who live there didn’t cooperate, Marion police got a search warrant.
By the time it could be served, Hinton had left the property, but officers found him and arrested him and took him to the Multi-County Correctional Center for a warrant stemming from the shooting.
In addition, Qwan Moore, 20, of Columbus, was charged with possession of marijuana and heroin. Alle Reed, 20, of Marion, was charged with Felony Obstructing Justice and Underage Consumption, according to a release from the Marion City Police.
“We would like to thank the citizens of Marion for their help…” said Marion City Police’s Major Jay McDonald in a press statement.
