An interstate manhunt for a man who has threatened to shoot the President of the United States is continuing in Mansfield, Ohio tonight after a driver crashed his vehicle on I-71 and fled on foot.
Ohio State patrol says a white 2002 GMC utility truck with a Pennsylvania registration was reported stolen from Skitco Iron Works in Hazle Township in Luzerne County.
Mansfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the report of a one vehicle crash on Interstate 71 near mile marker 171 northbound. The driver fled the scene and is believed to be on foot in the area. The crashed vehicle, a white 2002 GMC utility truck with Pennsylvania registration
ZJP4486, is reported stolen from Skitco Iron Works in Hazle Township in Luzerne County, OSP said in a release.
The vehicle was allegedly stolen and believed to be driven by Shawn R. Christy based on law enforcement intelligence.
Christy is wanted by the FBI, U.S. Marshal’s Service and U.S. Secret Service for multiple
offenses. Christy is described as a white male 5-10, 150 lbs., green eyes and short brown
hair. He is 26 years of age. Christy has a tattoo on his upper right arm and is considered armed and dangerous, according to OSP.
Christy has a history of stealing vehicles and burglarizing residences. Make sure your
residences and vehicles are secured. Ensure no keys are left in vehicles.

Christy is wanted for allegedly threatening to harm and/or kill a police chief, other law enforcement officers, a district attorney, and President Donald J. Trump. Christy allegedly posted the threats on Facebook between June 3 and 12 2018, saying that he was going to shoot President Trump in the head.
He’s been charged with Interstate Communication of Threats and Threats Against the President of the United States, the release concluded.
