The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is ready to open its doors the 30th season of Wildlights.

The annual holiday event, which officially starts today, Nov. 16,  always draws big crowds. Wildlights allows visitors to check out the animals during the day and see dazzling displays after dark.

Zoo staff began collecting non-perishable food items at 10 a.m. for the Wildlights Stuff the Truck Food Drive. Guests who bring in five non-perishable food items can get in free.

The Wildlights runs from 5pm to 9pm Sundays through Thursdays and until 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays through Jan. 6, except for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

For more information about Wildlights, visit the Columbus Zoo website.
