COLUMBUS (WCMH) – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office announced it will stop participating in the popular “Live PD” television program.

“Our office has enjoyed being on Live PD over the last six months,” the office posted to its Facebook page Friday. “The public support from our participation on the show has been tremendous.”

“However, at this time, we will be taking a little break from show,” the post added.

“Live PD” is an Emmy-winning documentary series that gives viewers see a first-hand look at the world of law enforcement as cameras roll with officers and deputies as they patrol their cities and counties.

The office began appearing regularly on the A&E program in November 2018.

“Being showcased alongside so many great law enforcement agencies on Live PD has been amazing!” the office posted. “Good Luck to the new agencies coming on board.”

On Twitter, the office said it would be “taking a little break,” but did not specify how long that break would be.
