A Franklin County Sheriff’s deputy suffered minor injuries after a two-vehicle accident in southeast Columbus.
According to Columbus Police, the crash happened around 1:55am Saturday near the interchange for State Route 104 and U.S. Route 33. Dispatchers say the deputy’s cruiser was struck on the drivers’ side by another vehicle.
The deputy was treated in an emergency room and released. There was a K9 in the car at the time of the accident, but investigators say the K9 only suffered a scratch.
The other driver is in custody and will likely face OVI charges.
