Four people have been arrested in connection with an investigation into several residential burglaries in the eastern portion of Knox County.

According to the Knox County Sheriff, while investigating a series of burglaries in the area of Butler Township, deputies generated a vehicle description from information provided by witnesses.

Investigators say that while on routine patrol, two deputies observed a vehicle matching that description. Those deputies made contact with the driver and occupants after the vehicle pulled into a driveway on Billman Road.

As a result of that traffic stop and the subsequent investigation, the Knox County Sheriff reports the arrest of four individuals:

Cody Brengartner, 24, from Marblehead, on charges of receiving stolen property and possession of drugs.

David Lagasse, 22, from Oak Harbor Clinton, on charges of receiving stolen property.

Joan Heintz, 18, from Port Clinton, on charges of receiving stolen property.

Taylor Gobmeier, 19, from Marblehead, on charges of receiving stolen property.

Investigators say that the burglary suspects appear to have targeted Amish residences in the Butler Township area. Deputies are still looking for any additional victims and anyone with information is asked to contact the Knox County Sheriff dispatch center at 740-397-3333 ext. 1.

Knox County Sheriff David Shaffer reports that this investigation is ongoing.
