COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Former Columbus Police Officer Andrew Mitchell has pleaded not guilty to new federal charges against him.
Mitchell was in a federal courthouse, Thursday, where he pleaded not guilty to two additional charges of obstruction of justice and destructing or removing property to prevent seizure.
Mitchell had previously pleaded not guilty to federal charges of witness tampering and lying to federal investigators when he told them he’d never had sex with prostitutes.
Mitchell is accused of forcing two women to have sex with him or face prostitution charges. He also faces unrelated murder and voluntary manslaughter charges in Franklin County for the August 2018 shooting death of 23-year-old Donna Castleberry.
