A fast-moving storm tore through Central Ohio early Monday afternoon, downing trees and knocking down power lines. In some cases, those lines and trees landed on vehicles and buildings.

An apartment complex on East Town Street near I-71 had some heavy damage due to the storm, luckily nobody was injured.

Around Central Ohio, 2,400 were without power in Westerville after a tree came crashing down on the bike path. Another 2,400 were without power in Columbus.

“I seen tape wrapped around and I saw the tree on the ground below, I could see it was blocking my parking spot and I was like well I’m glad I was at work for that, that would have been a terrible sight to see if I would have come out of my apartment and seen my car totaled,” said Columbus resident Jahleel Mullins.
