The Columbus Crew SC played in the first round of the MLS Cup Playoffs on Thursday night, and fans packed into the Endeavor Brewing Company, to watch the match.
“It just feels like home,” said Darren Van Paris. “The community’s here to support the team.”
Endeavor Brewing is also where fans gathered to celebrate last month’s announcement of a potential deal to sell the team to the Edwards and Haslam families.
With the deal still being finalized, it appears the Save the Crew movement is still extremely active.
Members are continuing to gather pledges from fans who will commit to buying season tickets, once new ownership takes control of the team.
“The Save the Crew ticket pledge is seriously our major push, right now,” said John Zidar. “We’re continuing to encourage people to take that pledge and sign up so that we can really get a running head start for the new owners.”
