The Franklin County DUI Task Force will conduct a sobriety checkpoint Friday night in the area of Cleveland Avenue and Wallcrest Blvd in the city of Columbus.
The checkpoint will operate from 8 p.m. to 12:30 am.
“We concentrate our efforts with saturation patrols, sobriety checkpoints, and campaigns like “Click It or Ticket May and “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” to improve the safety on Ohio’s roadways. By encouraging seat belt usage, decreasing impaired/distracted driving, and enforcing Ohio’s traffic safety laws, lives are being saved. The Franklin County DUI Task Force wants to impress upon those who will be consuming alcohol to plan for a designated driver or make other arrangements.”
