Washington Township Fire responded to a fire at 6008 Trafalgar Lane in Dublin at 2:08am.

According to first responders still on scene, the family heard a crack, felt the house shake, and then the smoke detectors started to sound.

Everyone in the home got out safely.

Officials say it appears that lightning struck the gas line outside of the house, then the charge traveled along the line into the house and sparked the fire.

Columbia Gas has also responded to the scene.
