COLUMBUS (WCMH) – We are just days away from giving school supplies to thousands of students in Columbus City Schools.

NBC4’s Stuff The Backpack drive-through is set for Saturday, August 4th. NBC4 spoke with a single mother of five who said she’s looking forward to this drive. Tashia Hightower said school supplies are just too expensive.

“Supplies are not cheap at all. It can average between $30 and $40 dollars a child.  You got to get the Clorox wipes, the Ziplock bags the pencils the crayons backpacks,” said Hightower.

You can drop off school supplies at our studios on Olentangy River Rd starting in the morning at 8.
