Deputy wounded by gunshot honored at OSU game

Franklin County Sheriff reports that Deputy Jacob Heaberlin was honored today for his sacrifice and bravery at the OSU game this evening.

Deputy Heaberlin was shot in the line of duty in May, 2018, in the lower abdomen, and was rushed to Grant hospital in critical condition but later upgraded to stable after surgery.

He has since fully recovered and has returned to serving the citizens of Franklin County, the Sheriff’s department reported in a social media post.
