DELAWARE, OH (WCMH) — Delaware County’s newest K9 deputy has already been quite busy despite being on the job for less than a week.

According to a Facebook post by the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, K9 Kahless has been on the job for five days.

In that short amount of time, the 13-month-old Belgian Malinois has made four drug busts, including meth and heroin.

“Kahless and his handler, Deputy Brandon Hunter, passed their state certification 10 days ago, following a lengthy and intense training program. Kahless is already deeply loyal to his partner and is eager to please,” the post reads.

Kahless joins two other Belgian Malinois, Cash and Essac, on the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office force.
