CRIME OF THE WEEK: Cash reward offered for tips leading to armed robbery suspect

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a man who robbed a west Columbus gas station at gunpoint and if your tip leads officers to him, you could be eligible for a cash reward.

According to investigators, an unknown man entered the Certified gas station on the 1400 block of Dublin Road on Friday, Dec. 28 around 8:37pm. He pulled out a silver-colored revolver and demanded the clerk hand over money from the cash register. The clerk complied and the suspect ran from the store and got into a dark-colored SUV that was in a parking lot just south of the gas station. The vehicle drove away heading south on Dublin Road.

The suspect is described as a white man, about 25 to 30 years old. He stands between 6 feet and 6 feet 2 inches tall. He was wearing a black mask, a black coat with a hood, black gloves and blue jeans. The clerk said the gun was appeared to be a silver or stainless revolver.
