COLUMBUS (WCMH) — The Columbus Division of Police is searching for a man accused of exposing himself to two young girls at the Columbus Park of Roses.

The incident happened on Sunday as the girls, an 8-year-old and an 11-year-old, were walking in a wooded area, according to the police report.

Two teenagers were nearby, and both told NBC4 that they saw the exposed man chasing the girls.

“I am so glad that we came here because if we wouldn’t have, those little girls could have been gone for real,” said Kassie Thomas, a witness who helped the girls to safety.

According to police, the suspect is described as a 70-year-old white man, with white hair. He was wearing a white shirt, with blue stripes on the sleeve and blue running shorts.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is encouraged to call police.
