CPD looking for suspects who attacked man near Africentric High School

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Police in Columbus are looking for three people who attacked a man along Allegheny Avenue in Columbus.

It happened around 6:24 p.m. on April 6. Police said the victim was walking in the area of 3201 Allegheny Avenue, near Columbus Africentric High School.

Three people attacked the man from behind and tried to get into his pockets, demanding his property, police said. The victim was able to fight off the attackers by pulling out a pocket knife and running.
Police described the first suspect as a 17 to 20-year-old black male standing 5’8″ and weighing 150 pounds. He had a white or gray long sleeve shirt, black shorts and white tennis shoes.

Police described the second suspect as a 17 to 20-year-old black male standing six feet tall and weighing 160 pounds. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, gray pants and black Nike slides.

The third suspect was described as a 17 to 20-year-old black male standing 5’9″ and weighing 150 pounds. He was wearing an orange hooded sweatshirt with white or gray pants or black shoes.
