MARYSVILLE, Ohio (WCMH) — A worker was killed Monday when a trench collapsed in Marysville.
According to a Marysville spokesperson, a contractor was working on a water line around six feet below the ground around 12:30 p.m. when he became trapped under dirt.
It took several hours to move the man’s body to ground level.
“We had to be able to remove the dirt from on and around him and be able to mitigate that and get him out of the very muddy dirt that was there,” said Chief Jay Riley with the Marysville Fire Department.
The man’s identity has not been released.
