COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) –A 13-year-old boy was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital after a report of a shooting in the South Franklinton section of Columbus Wednesday night.
Columbus police said the shooting was reported at approximately 10:32 p.m. on the 700 block of Canonby Place. Officers arrived after the boy was taken to Children’s Hospital by the parents. He is reported to be in stable condition and underwent surgery just after midnight Thursday.
Police do not have any suspects currently, though a red, four-door sedan was seen leaving the scene. The shooting is the second in five days on Canonby Place. Three women were shot outside of an apartment complex on during an overnight vigil on June 3.
