Victim in critical condition after shooting in Linden

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — One person is in critical condition after being shot Tuesday night in the Linden section of Columbus.

Columbus police responded to a call of a shooting on the 1000 block of Republic Avenue at approximately 8:46 p.m. A 35-year-old man was found at the scene suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest.

He was taken to an area hospital, where police say he is expected to survive his injuries.

Police continue to investigate and ask anyone with information to call the CPD Felony Assault Unit at 614-645-4141 or Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at 614-461-8477.
