COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Police say a person was injured in a shooting near Victorian Village, early Monday morning.
According to the Columbus Division of Police, at about 1:50 a.m., Monday, officers were called to an area hospital on the report of a patient with a gunshot wound.
When officers arrived at the hospital, they learned the 27-year-old male had been shot after he and his brother confronted a group people they suspected of breaking into the brother’s vehicle.
Police say during the confrontation, a member of the group pulled a gun and shot the victim.
Homicide detectives are investigating the case due to the severity of the victim’s injury.
