Police: Human remains found in south Columbus

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Columbus Police said they’ve discovered human remains in south Columbus and are investigating the incident as a homicide.

Police said the skeletal remains of a man were found near the 1800 block South High Street Monday at approximately 1:24 p.m.

Police said that due to the advanced stage of decomposition of the remains, the age and race, as well as the cause of death, could not be determined.

Columbus Police are investigating the case as a suspicious death and will have to wait for a ruling from the Franklin County Coroner’s Office.
