COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — A 14-year-old boy has been transported Thursday to a local hospital after a shooting on the east side of Columbus.

Officers responded at 3:02 p.m. on Thursday to the 1600 block of Pembroke Avenue after getting a report of a shooting, according to the Columbus Division of Police. Responding crews found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.

The 14-year-old was transported to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in stable condition.
