One person critical following shooting in northeast Columbus

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — One person was hospitalized after a shooting in northeast Columbus Monday night.

According to Columbus Police, officers responded to the 1400 block of East 24th Avenue at approximately 10:57 p.m. for a call of a shooting.

When officers arrived on scene, they found a 36-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim told police she was in the house, talking to her son when she heard gunshots and felt pain in her right shoulder.  

She was taken to an area hospital in stable condition and police say she is expected to survive her injury.
