COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — One person is hospitalized after a shooting Wednesday night in north Columbus.

Columbus police dispatchers said the shooting happened on the 4300 block of Chateau Morse Drive in the Parkview neighborhood at approximately 8:26 p.m. Officers say that the victim was suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.

The victim was taken in critical condition to Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. The victim has since been upgraded to stable condition.

After CPD interviewed one person of interest, it learned that the victim had been in an altercation with a third person when shots were fired.
