COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Columbus police are looking for a suspect who shot a driver on the south side of Columbus.

Around 11 a.m., police responded to reports of a shooting near the intersection of Parsons Avenue and East Whittier Street, where they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the Columbus Division of Police. The victim was taken to Grant Medical Center in stable condition, police said.

The victim said he was driving on E. Gates Street and turned onto Lisle Alley when a green Toyota came at him head on, firing multiple shots. The victim then continued driving to Parsons Avenue and East Whittier Street where he stopped for help.

Police have identified the passenger who fired the shots as 26-year-old Kyle Caldwell.

Police are asking anyone who knows Caldwell or information about the incident to call the Columbus Police Felony Assault Unit at 614-645-4011.
