Man found dead in northeast Columbus

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — Columbus Police homicide detectives are investigating after a man was found dead in northeast Columbus Tuesday afternoon.

According to police, the man’s body was discovered at approximately 12:51 p.m. near Miami Avenue and East Spring Street.

The victim has been identified as Dominick Braxton, 40, who died from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:56 p.m.

This is the 139th homicide reported in Columbus for 2021.
