COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Gas prices continue to drop in the Columbus area.  

According to GasBuddy, the price for a gallon of gas has dropped 4.7 cents in the past week, with the average in the Columbus area being $3.02.  

Gas prices are 21.4 cents lower than a month ago, but 91.6 cents higher than a year ago for Columbus drivers.  

The cheapest gas station in the area is $2.61 a gallon, while the most expensive is $3.37.  

Nationally, the average price has dropped 2.8 cents a gallon to $3.30.
